Standing inbetween
The world seemed to dim in his cold eyes
Untold was his pain
he was like a rose in the rain
reaching for a dream
Of keeping a smile
Standing inbetween
Holding his life in one hand

Holding his life in one hand
And the death in the other
embraced in grief he walked
stumbling over his dead tears

Standing inbetween, that wretched inbetweener
associating his past with his present
Trying to reveal the future's unwanted present
Thousands of questions came to his mind
But no answers to find

I know nothing about it's fate
But I know where it lay
At the edge of the abyss not so settled
But how when it with chains so fettered
Still standing inbetween
Waiting for the fate to decide his final gate
